CARPET that has previously been cleaned will generally have a high degree of detergent build-up and should be sprayed lightly with DEFOAM in either a hand trigger sprayer or tank sprayer.
DEFOAM should be added to the recovery system tank and to the inside of the suction end of hose before using equipment; a few ounces is recommended.
